McNally Tunneling Corporation specializes in underground construction. The majority of our tunnel work involves the use of a tunnel boring machine, yet we have completed several hand mining project ranging from soft soils to hard rock requiring controlled blasting. In addition to our tunnel excavation work, we have successfully completed many various tunnel linings and challenging shafts. Our final linings have consisted of reinforced concrete pipe, welded steel pipe, cast in place concrete, concrete segments, and shotcrete. Our shaft work experience includes shafts blasted in rock, conventionally excavated soils, dewatering shafts, and underwater excavations. Shaft construction sizes range from 20’ to 200+’ deep and 8’ to 70’ in width.
